new handmade jewelry: fashion forward animal print

hello, and good evening!

hmm, perhaps i've been in the city more than usual?
i can feel it affecting me
i'm exploring differently

instead of through fields, old roads, and trees
investigating surfaces, textures, and patterns

still every city contains the essence of far off places
whether visiting the local zoo
or glancing at the fashionistas stiletto-walking past

the world constantly beckons us to search
PLAY
have fun!

even in our day-to-day wear,
perhaps it's become tired
(mine was. plain. classic. safe.)
today, i'm daring to branch out and do something new

i spent countless hours in the studio hand-sawing each rectangle
and hand-painting these lovely patterns!
now my safe little wardrobe can have some edge
huzzah!

you have any favorite textures or patterns found in your journeys?

xo,
Lyns

p.s. these will be listed later this evening ::here::

renewed creative spirit

i've really been enjoying this partial Spring Break the past week

my creative side feels heard and refreshed
plenty of time in the studio
not too neglectful of my study duties
maybe slightly... but it's spring break for goodness sake

i'm ready for Spring to be here
seeing robins bouncing around.
my goal is to snap a proper photo of a flock of robins
i saw a GIANT flock last year. so strangely wonderful

onward this weekend to see Patrick!
my heart feels warm just thinking of it.

A good weekend to you,
Lynsey

p.s. pop in my shops... there's some new goodies around!

Hearing Drips... thanks for the feature!

my jewelry is happily featured in "I Dreamed I Saw..."
(the long silver drips of the Milan at Night earrings) this writer is ready for Springtime too!
Here's to the melting away of the snow and ice
revealing new life... http://www.idreamedisaw.com/2010/03/01/what-a-drip/

Thanks so much! :)

keep it like a cold

for those of you who are so lovely
i have a secret to share with you...
you don't have to keep it
actually, i encourage you to share it.

i've been a busy version of myself
buzzing in the studio
my mind eager to release itself unto creativity
and so here is a tiny sneak peek
into what i've been creating

both pictures are from upcycled metals i've found
and formed into beautiful adornments
these new pieces will be a part of my new etsy shop
featuring handmade jewelry in metals from copper and brass to silver and gold :)

more updates to come soon!

Stay Warm,
Lynsey
